James 2:21-23

²¹^(A)Was not Abraham our father justified by works when he offered up Isaac his son on the altar? ²²You see that ^(B)faith was working with his works, and ^[a]as a result of the ^(C)works, faith was ^[b]perfected; ²³and the Scripture was fulfilled which says, “^(D)And Abraham believed God, and it was reckoned to him as righteousness,” and he was called ^(E)the friend of God.
